Five Ways For Bouncy Castle Party Hosts to Ensure Safety for the Kids

Bouncy castles are generally hired by kids party organizers to keep the small fries busy and to serve pure fun to them. However, bouncy castle party organizers cannot take chances when it comes to child safety and protection. It is highly important to check the PIPA tags of the inflatable castles as it is important to see whether an inflatable items supplier is affiliated to BIHA (British Inflatable Hirers Alliance). At the same time, parents/bouncy castle party organizers should ensure a few other things that are listed here below for your further reference in case you are about to hire a castle for your next party.

Do not forget to supervise the kids

You, or any other family member whom you consider dutiful and responsible, should keep an eye on the kids constantly when they are busy jumping in the castle. This is because wayward kids may attempt to climb up the walls of the castles and fighting with other kids. You should nullify their attempts and repress any sort of unruly activity.

Do not allow them to do somersaults

Back in 2005, Sam Harris, a 13 year old boy was badly kicked in his head by a 15 year old guy who was doing a somersault when the duo was playing inside a bouncy castle. Unfortunately, Sam died 2 years from the accident. This sets an example, painful although, for the bounce house party organizers. Stick a notice just outside the entrance of the bouncy castle stating whoever will try to do somersaults or play rough will be instantly forced out. This may sound a bit harsh, but this works.

No mixed age group

Kids of the same height and age should be allowed to play inside the castles and you should not allow kids of different age and height to play together. Divide the kids in different age groups and request them to patiently wait for their turn. Be a little nice and provide the kids with enough means for entertainment while they wait for their turn. Hiring a clown can be a great idea.

Do not allow adults

If you have hired a castle for the kids only, do not allow adults to use the castle. Even teenagers should not be allowed to enter the castle. Request the adults modestly not to enter the castle and guide teens to take part in other activities that are only meant for them (you can arrange for Lap Chain or Freezy Dance and other sorts of fun games for them). Your objective should be to please everyone and, at the same time, to ensure safety of the kids.

Check who is carrying what

Check to see whether the kids are carrying any sharp object with them. All sorts of sharp objects and food items should be strictly banned inside the bouncy castles. Kids should also not be allowed to wear shoes while playing inside the castle.
If you can supervise the kids in the above-mentioned manner, you need not to worry about the safety of the kids.
